Unified Community Connections

Delrey School is operated by Unified Community Connections (Unified), a private, not-for-profit organization that supports individuals with disabilities in achieving independence, productivity, and the quality of life they seek.  Unified provides direct support and thousands of hours of service to more than 1,000 individuals throughout Maryland through its core programs and services, which include children’s services—such as the Delrey School, adult day programs and residential services, supported employment, assistive technology, respite care, and transportation. Unified’s services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual served, helping to fulfill their hopes and dreams by allowing them to live as independently as possible.

Originally founded in 1953 as United Cerebral Palsy of Central Maryland by a group of parents and concerned citizens, in 2013 the organization changed its name to Unified Community Connections to reflect its broad mission of supporting individuals with disabilities.

Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained. — Marie Curie
